INTRODUCTION

    The salem witch trials was a period of mass hysteria in Massachusetts.  Final numbers but roughly 24 people were hanged or died in prison after being convicted as a witch. Later, it was determined that all of the convictions durring that time period had been wrong. Each family of victims got money for the terrible pain and suffering they had gone through. Only one afflicted person stood up and aplogized years later.There were many factors to why this tradegy happend so fat, and lasted for months. The purpose of this Webquest is to learn why these thigns occured in Salem MA. It is also for you to put your self in the shoes of a person who experienced this event first hand. Go back in time and take on the character of a person livign in Salem MA 1692. In this project you will have the opportunity to be someone afflicted by witchcraft, or accused of witchcraft.
